Juan Salinas, known professionally as DJ J-Zal, discovered his gift for music early — from breakdancing and beat matching to burning mixtapes in high school. His love for DJing came alive at Western Michigan University, where college parties and house shows fueled his rise behind the decks. Today, with over 20 years of experience and a national radio presence, DJ J-Zal brings fun, creativity, and crowd mastery to every celebration.

We needed a bilingual DJ that was able to play both American and Mexican music and Juan delivered. He fit the vibes perfectly between the cocktail hour, dinner, and the dancing was the best of any wedding I’ve been to. Not only that, but he was a very chill guy and happy to cover any announcements or logistical details we needed during the reception. If you need a DJ for anything, Juan is the man to go with (especially if you need someone bilingual). He had the dance floor packed all night, danced with us, was able to communicate in Spanish with our bilingual family,  stepped in perfectly when there could have been awkward silent moments, and in many of our guests words, “the DJ deserves a raise.”  We love Juan and couldn’t recommend him enough!

Take one item off the to do list and book Luxx Entertainment. Juan made the whole process simple, easy and very enjoyable. He was open to meet anytime that was convenient for my husband and I which was amazing as we all have busy schedules. Juan also gave us many suggestions as to the best songs to play and how to properly use their app to maximize its potential. This was extremely helpful! Our wedding guests also loved Juan! He played many of the songs on our playlist as well as taking fun requests from guests. I would hire Luxx Entertainment again!

From the planning to the execution, we had top notch service. Juan worked the crowd perfectly during our dinner buffet and played all the right music during our reception. He kept the dance floor full all night and was flexible with the wide range of music our guests requested. It was also a god send to be able to find a bilingual Spanish-speaking DJ of this caliber as a good amount of our guests from my side of the family spoke very little English. So Juan came in clutch and was able to MC both in English and Spanish! We also were in close communication with Logan who was alway quick to respond and answer any of our questions! If you want your guest on the dance floor all night and entertainment is a high priority for your wedding or event, you have to hire Luxx!
